EFT Tapping
What is EFT Tapping ?
EFT Tapping is often referred to as The Emotional Freedom Technique or psychological acupuncture. It is an evidence-based self-help holistic mind-body therapy that rapidly reduces symptoms of anxiety, depression, fear, and physical symptoms related to toxic stress. The Emotional Freedom Technique incorporates components of exposure therapy, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, and the stimulation of various acupressure points.
Many of us were conditioned to suppress our unpleasant emotions as children, you may have been told, “stop crying!” or ridiculed for expressing your anger. If during our attempt to seek comfort and reassurance from loved ones they shut us down, or respond in a manner that is perceived as threatening, this sends messages to our subconscious awareness that it is not safe for us to express our emotions. If we do not feel safe to express our feeling, we tend to habitually suppress them, they eventually become repressed.
Trapped emotions can lead to a host of psychological and physiological problems such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, high blood pressure and other medical issues. Anxiety and Depression cause brain dysfunction; traumatic events can leave stuck in survival mode of flight, fight, freeze or faint and affect the way we function. EFT Tapping allows is to release blocked emotions and restore balance of the mind-body-spirit.

These treatment participants no longer met the PTSD clinical criteria for PTSD after 6 sessions as their symptoms were reduced by 83%. The Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease also published a study which showed that EFT Tapping significantly decreased anxiety scores among adults who were experiencing psychological distress.
